Real Life Studios . . . a style of photography that was born from the hearts of Dan & Micki Simken, founders and owners of Tripod Photography. Real Life can be best described as “Fresh ~ Fun ~ Unscripted” photography. We invite you to look through our Portfolios to see for yourself what we mean.

Real Life’s parent company, Tripod Photography (www.tripodphotography.com) best known for beautiful traditional photography of families, children and High School Seniors.

In our desire to capture the essence of today’s children, we’re finding ourselves providing more and more contemporary photography. So in 2009 we created Real Life Studios, a studio and a style that caters specifically to children from 9 months old through High School, featuring three distinctive categories for our children.

Cutie Pies ~ 9 months through 3 years old

Real Kids ~ 3 years old through 12 years old

Urban Youth ~ 12 years old through High School

These categories allow us to concentrate our creative efforts in a session that is totally age appropriate. We can capture a child’s personality, their likes, talent, many of the intimacies that make that child yours. Our goal is to let kids be kids.
